Clean The Litter, Please!

pmg trivandrum yenthaA stroll through the museum-PMG road. A faint drizzle and the smell of earth brings back lots of childhood memoirs of lost drenching monsoon days. And just as I am about to reach PMG, a foul smell ruins the nostalgic mood. I look around to see two huge green plastic bags right in front of one of the prominent hotels in the city! The rain pattered on, the bags remained there. Pedestrians walked by and hardly anyone noticed. What do we do in such a situation? Whom should we call? I wish pedestrians like you and me had the option to dial a toll free number to call up someone who would immediately come and clean the garbage.
