The unique suspension of Baleno, with its 170mm ground clearance ensures it glides over potholes and not bumb into them. The interior of the car is spacious, especially at the back and its stability under high speeds makes it a good performer during long rides.

The petrol variants come with a mileage of 21 km/l, while the diesel ones offers a mileage of 27 km/l. The 1.2-litre petrol variant has a 5-speed manual or a CVT as gearbox options.

with the first Apple CarPlay.

Though the car has received ovewhelming response the lack of Nexa showrooms may limit booking numbers. Currently the car is available at two showrooms in Kochi and one in Calicut. The waiting period is 10 weeks according to showroom officials.

With Baleno, Maruti aims to dethrone Hyundai i20 and Volkswagon Polo and become leaders in premium hatchback segment.
