Four Killed In Bus Mishap In Kollam District

Kollam :Four people were killed and many others sustained injuries as a private bus rammed a KSRTC superfast bus at Ayoor, on Friday.

 

The victims killed in the accident on Friday were identified as Linsi Thomas, Romy George, Remya Varkey and Shahana. All of them were working in different IT firms in Technopark. The condition of few of the injured are said to be critical.

 

The accident happened occurred when the Thiruvananthapuram-Angamaly KSRTC superfast bus collided with a Punalur-bound private bus. The driver of the private bus, allegedly lost control as he tried to avoid a motorcycle. The bus hit a tree first and then rammed into the KSRTC superfast which was on its way to Angamaly.

According to the Police, the injured, were admitted to various hospitals including Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, Venjaramoodu Gokulam Medical College, Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital and Anchal St Joseph’s Mission Hospital.
