Palaruvi is one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Kerala. 'Palaruvi' in Malayalam means stream of milk. It cascades down from a height of 300 ft above ground level and is located 75km from Kollam. This area is covered with dense forest and one has to trek down the narrow paths to reach the waterfall.
Besides bathing, there are other activites one can do.
Palaruvi Trekking (7 am to 2 pm), covers a distance of 5km from the top of the fall and back, covering streams, caves, and an evergreen forest on the way. Trekking is allowed only if there is a minimum of 5 trekkers.

Palaruvi is located 77 km from Kollam town. You can catch a bus to Palaruvi. The bus route will be Kottarakara-Punalur-Thenmala on the NH 208
Palaruvi is located 85 km from Trivandrum. You can catch a bus to Palaruvi. The bus route will be Nedumangad-Thenmala-Shencottai.
