Newly-laid pavements for vendors?
The road in front of the Secretariat Annex is the perfect example of how a road should not be kept.It is also a telling commentary on the ineptitude of our civic and law enforcement agencies.Vehicles are parked on both sides of the road leaving only the width of the famed Indian loin cloth for vehicular traffic.Visitors to the secretariat think that it is their birth right to park vehicles like nobody's business. Vendors have already started encroaching on the newly paved foot paths forcing the pedestrian to compete with speeding motorists for right of way. What is the use of having the police control room and the press club near by?

We are forced to park car on the road sholder for there is nowhere else to park in the neighbourhood.Seems our good friend here is a secretariat employee, privileged to park his car inside secretariat premises.

The good friend is not a secretariat employee but a citizen outraged at the utter lack of civic sense of fellow - citizens.Having no parking space does not allow one to park anywhere one pleases. Please learn road manners before getting a vehicle.

I totally agree with CGN. I think we should be trained in civic sense before a license is issued. Every day is like a nightmare ... surviving by the skin of one's teeth. But what can we do by just discussing here?
