Traffic Signal system at Kurvakonam junction

I really wonder at the wisdom of traffic police to install a trafic signal system at Kuravankonam.... in fact it creates more blocks than ever. The Traffic coming from Pattom & Kowdiar side suffers the most, even after green signal at time vehicles get stuck as the road is narrow right at the signal point vehicle which has to go straight is unable to move. It's a real mess.Vehicles end up burning more amount of petrol than required and the honking noise of the vehicles which is intolerable. Just a traffic police would have regulated the movement of vehicles instead of signals!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, that's correct.there is no need of a traffic signal system at Kuravankonam.

Today(sep 10 2012), they started turning on the signal lights. Usually the traffic at this junction is smooth, but today I saw queue of cars waiting at junction. At first I thought, there has been an accident, then I noted the signals. When will these stop wasting our money by installing these unnecessary things.

I don't think those things are unnecessary. They care about our safety and safety of pedestrians. I remember we have debates at school on this issue and I write my paper afterwards.
